Thirteen-year-old Jaliah has had an incredibly tough year. She was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in February 2024, and spent the next several months inpatient from February through June, undergoing intensive treatment. After completing therapy, she and her family hoped they were through the hardest part.

But in August 2024, Jaliah’s family received heartbreaking news—her cancer had relapsed early. Despite everything, Jaliah has faced every step of her journey with bravery, grace, and an unshakable spark.

Recognizing that this resilient young girl deserved a moment of pure joy, Brianna Sargent, MSW, a Leukemia and Lymphoma Social Worker in the Division of Oncology at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, nominated Jaliah and her family for a magical experience through Pretzel Wishes.

And that’s exactly what she got.

From the moment she arrived at Magic Kingdom, Jaliah was beaming. It was her first time at Disney World—and it felt like something out of a dream.

Her favorite ride? TRON Lightcycle / Run—no contest. The speed, the lights, the futuristic thrill—she loved it so much that she rode it several times, smiling bigger each time.

Next came Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. As a huge fan of Princess Tiana, this was a highlight for Jaliah. She sang along, soaked in the beautiful scenes, and felt like royalty herself.

And of course, she couldn’t leave without a few trips through the stars on Space Mountain. Every twist and turn filled her with joy, and just for a little while, the worries of treatment, hospitals, and cancer faded away.v

Beyond the rides, Jaliah enjoyed the full Disney magic: character hugs, sweet treats, parade waves, and castle views. She picked out a special souvenir, ate her favorite snacks, and ended her day under a sky full of fireworks, surrounded by love, laughter, and light.

In that moment, she wasn’t a patient—she was just a kid, living a dream.
